Abrasion Resistance Improvement of Recycled Aggregate Pervious Concrete with Granulated Blast Furnace Slag and Copper Slag

چکیده
The poor abrasion resistance of recycled aggregate pervious concrete (RAPC) limits its application. Granulated blast furnace slag (GBFS) and copper (CS) were used as mineral admixtures to replace cement in RAPC for improving the resistance. At 10% GBFS replacement level, 5% 25% CS was added respectively, which reduced consumption cement. effects on paste fluidity, porosity, permeability, compressive strength evaluated. exhibited an excellent after adding CS. In this case, blended amount optimal Compared with single group, increased by 38.78%, is mainly because fayalite supplies good resistance, whereas also plays important role. mechanism studied via X-ray diffraction analysis microhardness. porosity permeability level. Moreover, leaching concentration heavy metal ions prepared significantly low, indicating that could be applied safely. results not only provides a feasible technical means large-scale utilisation but presents theoretical basis improvement

1. Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS) is a by product of the steel industry. Blast furnace slag is defined as “the non-metallic product consisting essentially of calcium silicates and other bases that is developed in a molten condition simultaneously with iron in a blast furnace.” [1] In the production of iron, blast furnaces are loaded with iron o...

Foamed mortar with a density of 1300 kg/m³ was prepared. In the initial laboratory trials, water-to-cement (w/c) ratios ranging from 0.54 to 0.64 were tested to determine the optimal value for foamed mortar corresponding to the highest compressive strength without compromising its fresh state properties. With the obtained optimal w/c ratio of 0.56, two types of foamed mortar were prepared, name...

Stabilisation is a broad sense for the various methods employed and modifying the properties of a soil to improve its engineering performance and used for a variety of engineering works. In today‟s day soil stabilisation is the major problem for civil engineers, either for construction of road and also for increasing the strength or stability of soil and reduces the construction cost. In this t...
